With participation from 25000 delegates and 120 countries, Vibrant Gujarat has evolved to be ‘Davos in action’ – CM

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel summed up the success of Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015 at the Valedictory Ceremony today at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. CM Smt Patel took the opportunity to thank all the national and international participants and people of Gujarat for all the success of Vibrant Gujarat 2015.

She shared that this year’s summit saw enormous participation from over 25,000 delegates and 120 countries. With 21,000 investment intentions, 1225 strategic partnership agreements, potential investment worth Rs 25 lakh crores, Vibrant Gujarat summit has truly evolved to be ‘Davos in action’, she added.

CM Smt Patel shared that Government of India, Government of Gujarat and World Bank have entered into a tripartite agreement to work together for Swachhata Abhiyaan and Smart Cities. Government of Gujarat and UN has signed a strategic partnership agreement in area of sustainable energy, she added. CM Smt Patel said that agreements signed in areas of CSR, defence manufacturing, skill development, sustainable energy and education will hugely contribute in Gujarat’s inclusive growth-story.

For robust implementation of investment intention, CM Smt Patel shared that a district-level digital cell will be set up to ensure smooth implementation of all the investment intentions. Also, for investments that require clearances from Central Government, a special committee will be formed to ensure speedy implementation. Another committee will be set up under the chairmanship of Chief Minister for policy promotion and progress of investment intentions. A committee under chief secretary with industry department will be set up for immediate redressal of hurdles faced for execution of investment intentions, she informed.

CM Smt Patel specially thanked PM Shri Narendra Modi for his continued guidance and motivation to make Vibrant Gujarat a grand success. She said that investment and deliberations during this summit will give impetus to Make in India, Skill India and Clean India initiatives.
