CM Chairs Joint Conference of District Collectors and DDOs

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani addressed today joint conference of District Collectors and District Development Officers organized here in Gandhinagar. In this context he said that District Collectors and District Development Officers are the support of good governance. The image of government among people has been created through their workmanship. These are the main aspects of best administration, democratic system and good governance in a democracy while public welfare scheme to be delivered to the last men and people may naturally realize about redressal of their issues, he added.

Mr. Rupani called on the district officials to be knowledgeable about real situations of works, schemes and public issues in their concerned areas and to decide after performing self-investigation regarding issues raised by people during their field visits. He clearly said that as a member(s) in Team Gujarat Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, Secretaries, Collector and DDO are collectively functioning with focusing on advantage to the last men in developmental and public welfare works.

With giving inspiration to the district administration heads, Mr. Rupani said that this government will stand with them in error arise through bonafide but will never overlook in case it is malafide. It depends on adaptability of a district head to get quality work from their subordinates. Collector-DDO can inspire them to work with focusing common people positively regarding development and not to delay in decision making. We have to develop work culture rather than sufferings. Issues and problems are endless process. But it is our responsibility to realize people that our system is ready to take each challenge by redressing them with positivity, he added.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel appealed district heads to fulfill their important targets and complete pending works regarding health, education, road & building and development of deprived with cooperation of other department heads as well. Recently state government has recruited as many as 73000 youths. He appealed them to strengthen government services with maximum usage of these youths.

Revenue Minister Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama appealed district heads to fulfill expectations of people with quick action after state government make any decision regarding public welfare. Chief Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh congratulated all for praiseworthy performance of Gujarat among other states across the nation in surveys regarding Seva Setu, Start-up, Pradhanmantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and urban cleanliness etc.

Principal Secretary to CM Ms. S. Aparna displayed review through a presentation regarding district-wise situation in several indicators of CM dash board. On the occasion Minister of State for Panchayat Mr. Jayantibhai Kavadiya, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Mr. K. Kailashnathan along with Senior Secretaries, District Collectors and DDOs were remained present.
