Gujarat CM dedicates Taluka District Office and addresses public meeting at UNA

Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel dedicated several public welfare works in Gir-Gadhada and Una taluka today. CM Smt Patel dedicated District Development office built at the cost of Rs 10 crore and community health centre costing Rs 2 crore. This district office is equipped with modern technology that will help provide better services to people.

CM urged women to avail maximum benefits from statewide health camp ‘Healthy Gujarat’. She educated women about the benefits of the health camp drive that includes free screening and free treatment of terminal diseases like cervical and breast cancer among women, oral cancer among men and diabetes. Till date 51 lakh women across Gujarat have undergone free screening for Cervical & Breast cancer at Government health centers across the state.

Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel attended Women Convention at Una in Gir-Somnath today and addressed a large gathering of women. While addressing women she remembered Mahatma Gandhi and Iron Man Sardar Patel who contributed for keeping India united post-independence.

On the occasion, she talked about the sacrifice of great freedom fighters and legends like Veer Bhagat Singh and others who lost their lives for freedom of India.

CM urged women to give up superstition and save girl child and ensure their proper education. Through State Government’s effort in last decade and initiative of Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao started by PM Shri Narendra Modi, Gujarat has witnessed surge in sex ratio & education among girls.The ratio of girl child has increased and reached to 904 girls per 1000 boys, she mentioned. Equal education rights should be given to a girl child with basic amenities like bathroom, toilet. Motherhood will be futile and won’t be celebrated if there is no girl child, she added.

CM Smt. Patel educated women about statewide health drive ‘Healthy Gujarat’ and requested them to take maximum benefit of it by getting a free screening done for terminal diseases like Cancer and Diabetes. If diagnosed State Government will provide free treatment for the same, she added.

CM asked farmers to make use of drip irrigation and modern scientific method of farming to reap better crops.

CM Smt. appealed people to take a vow on Republic Day to serve society and contribute in their capacity for the welfare of society. On the occasion CM felicitated women from Sakhi Mandals.

Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel addressed Sagarkhedu Sammelan and dedicated development works in Veraval today. She flagged off boat rally on for the fishermen marking the celebration of 67th Republic Day.

She inaugurated hostel for the students of Somnath School Vishwa Vidhayalay. CM dedicated water supply works worth Rs 6 crores and 25 lakh rupees for making portable drinking water available. CM also flagged off 20 ST buses costing worth Rs 640 lakh. Also, 6 Mobile kiosk vans will be moving in all districts for registration and enrollment of citizens under Ma Vatsalya and Ma Amrutam Yojna.

On the occasion CM laid foundation stone for Chowpati to be built at the expense of Rs 15 crore and houses for Karmayogis under Sarkari Awaas Yojna costing Rs 30 cr. Chowpati development work will provide facilities like parking, Amphitheatre, cricket ground, adventure theme park, food plaza, toilet blocks and garden.

CM Smt. Patel urged people to get free screening done under statewide health camp ‘Healthy Gujarat’. She mentioned government is spending crores of rupees for the health-care of people and can provide more funds for the same.
