CM attends Rabi Krishi Mahotsav in Chhota Udepur

The Chief Minister further added that so far 20 lakh unorganized labourers have been registered for the purpose. She was speaking at the function organized to distribute the aids worth of Rs 2.62-Cr to 263 beneficiary poor farmers at the ‘Ravi Krushi Mahotsav-2014’ held at Bodeli in Chhotaudepur district.

Mrs. Patel said, The Gujarat Government is celebrating the current year as the “Krushi Vikas Year” so the poor farmers would be distributed aids worth of Rs 700-Cr in means such as Tractors, Oil Engines, Submersible Pumps and others.

The Chief Minister said, the Gujarat Government has initiated measures to encourage the modernization in agriculture and animal husbandry sectors.

Mrs. Patel said, recently after making a deliberation with the Core Committee of the ‘Kisan Sangh’ by the high-ranked government officers, the Gujarat Government had announced that it would pay half (50 %) of the interests on the loans taken by the farmers from the banks and 50% subsidy on electricity bills. This aid-package in total is worth around Rs 1100-Crore. Of this, Rs 600-Cr is bank interest on loans and Rs 500-Cr on electricity bills.

In an emotional tone, Mrs. Patel said that, “I am a daughter of a farmer and have had toiled very hardly under the sun, thus, very well understanding the pain of the women. For their extra income through animal husbandry and for assistance to women, Government has started to give milking machines for the women milking as many as 10 or more cattle’s.

Mrs. Patel said that government has started to set up milk producing co-operative societies for women in those villages in which so far there were no Milk Producing Cooperative societies. Women of the village get assembled and discuss about the village welfare, development of villagers, concerns about their children; for this purpose State Government have decided to provide a 300 sq. meter plot at only Rs. 1 as a token to the women milk producing societies. And Government also has decided to construct a building of milk society on the plot, she added.

Mrs. Patel said that, for development of one of the newly constructed districts; Chhotaudepur is going to be developed in the direction of good planning by the administration and the elected members.

Mrs. Patel said that government has decided to make 33% reservation for women in every cadre of police force recruitment. Thus, around 2700 vacancies for women have been created this year only. The training sessions, for the enrolled women for recruitment process, are being held in each city of the districts and record 1 lakh girls have been enrolled for these vacancies.

While Mrs. Patel announced that for all women who passes the preliminary examination of Union Public Service; for their preparations in main examination and interview, assistance worth Rs. 90 thousand would be given, at that time a big round of applause happened. She also announced that, for this purpose youth of Gujarat will get assistance worth Rs. 75 thousand as well.

Mrs. Patel said that, the State Government introduced Ma-Vatsalya Yojana for the women whose annual family income is Rs. 1.20 lakh, will be given Rs. 2 lakh for each women of that family, through this they will get best medical services in private hospitals. The son-daughters below 21 years of that family will also be benefited under this scheme.

Mrs. Patel said that our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will address the labour welfare melas state-wide on forthcoming 25th December through video conferencing, and will inspire these unorganized labours.

On this occasion Mrs. Patel visited each stalls of the Agriculture Exhibition and learned brief details. As many as 263 farmers were benefited worth Rs. 2 crore 62 lakh with various assistances in this Krishi Mahotsava. Mrs. Patel distributed assistance for various tools for the beneficiaries worth Rs. 77.64 lakh. Mrs. Patel also made ground breaking ceremony for as far as four developmental projects worth Rs. 13 crore in Chhotaudaipur district. In this list as many as 10 schools, bridge on Ashwini River, Building of the Secondary School and Teacher’s Staff Quarters are included.

She appealed the youth of the tribal sector to get benefit with the skill development training programme held by the State Government.

Chhotaudepur MP Mr. Ramsinh Rathwa gave details about the developmental programmes made by Government of Gujarat in the tribal majority district and also addressed about the progress of this district.

MLA Mr. Jayantibhai Rathwa gave occasional speech. District Collector Mr. Jenu Dev gave welcome speech and thanksgiving made by DDO Mr. Kuldeep Arya. On this occasion Chair-person of Vadodara Jilla Panchayat Smt. Sudhaben Parmar, MP Smt. Ranjanben Bhatt, MLAs Mr. Balkrishna Patel, Mrs. Manishaben Vakil, In-charge Secretary Mr. R. C. Meena, leaders along with Range IG Mr. Anupsinh Gehlot, farmers and local tribal public in huge number were present.
