Guj CM dedicates various development works at Karjan in Vadodara district, Karjan town brought under CCTV camera safety net

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel today inaugurated various development works at Karjan town of Vadodara district.

On this occasion, CM Smt Patel inaugurated a new building of agriculture market yard built under ‘Kisan Kalpavriksha Yojana’ at the cost of Rs. 8 crore, with all modern facilities including soil testing laboratory at agriculturally and industrially developed Karjan town of Vadodara district. She also inaugurated Town Hall, named after Bharata Muni, with seating capacity of 500 people built at the cost of Rs. 2 crore under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.

CM Smt Patel happily announced that Karjan town is now covered with CCTV camera to ensure safety under Suraksha Setu Program. She also inaugurated the first ‘green’ school of Central Gujarat at Koliyad village developed at the cost of Rs. 3 crore and newly-built building of primary school worth Rs. 1.10 crore at Sadhli village.

With a view to provide hassle-free civic services to the citizens, CM Smt Patel dedicated Taluka Seva Sadan constructed at the cost of 1.60 crore at Karjan. She said that the state government’s aim is to maximise the online civic services for speedy and convenient delivery of services to the citizens.

CM Smt Patel shared that the state government is committed for the all-round development of future generation by adopting competitive approach. She told that while many multi-national companies are eyeing towards Gujarat, we must make our youth employable and globally competitive. She talked about state government’s initiatives like Skill Development Centres, ITIs, UMEED for overall development of the youth.

During her speech, CM Smt Patel refuted the misleading stories of land acquisition spread by the opposition and clarified that the government works only as a nodal agency and never snatch land from farmers for the benefit of industry. She went on to say that some elements are misleading the innocent people and shared that the state government is giving equal weightage to agriculture, animal husbandry, government schemes and industry for balanced economic development.

Talking about the importance of the in-house toilet, CM Smt Patel congratulated all the donors for their contribution for this noble cause. She reiterated that every household in Gujarat will have a toilet within next three years.

CM Smt Patel informed that certificates for OBC creamy and non-creamy layer as well as income proof certificates will be issued by TDO office also. She specifically instructed all the present TDOs to issue such certificates to the needy without any kind of trouble. She said that this government is committed to the welfare of the poor and deprived people of the state and assured that the state government will leave no stone unturned for the overall development of the state.

On this occasion, CM Smt Patel launched a book giving information on various development works worth Rs. 183.77 crore took place in last five years.

Finance Minister Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, MP Shri Ranjanben Bhatt, APMC President Shri Satishbhai Patel, MLAs, VUDA Chairman Shri Naranbhai Patel, Collector, DDO, other eminent leaders and people in large number were present on this occasion.
