Gujarat CM begins smart services under Wi-Fi project at Gandhinagar

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani has begun smart services under Wi-Fi project here in Gandhinagar today. On the occasion he congratulated Gandhinagar for becoming first ever digital city of the nation.

He showed confidence that the capital of Gujarat is now equipped with Wi-Fi facility and will create not only prestige of Gujarat but of India among the national-international dignitaries to visit forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2017. Now Gandhinagar has taken initiative in ‘Digital India’ – the vision of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He briefed people about the transformations take place in Gandhinagar through the efforts made by the then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

CM Shri Rupani said that Gandhinagar became a city of knowledge with establishment of world-level universities such as Forensic Science University, Raksha Shakti University, IIT and Petroleum University. Even GIFT city and Mahatma Mandir of this city also became iconic global identification.

Security of citizens in Gandhinagar will become more extensive through advanced equipments such as crime control through CCTV surveillance, punitive measures against breach of traffic rules, smart light and video walls etc. CM Shri Rupani suggested state administration to use such video walls for cleanliness of the cities across the state. He congratulated municipal corporation authority for savings of power through established LED street lights across the city. He also emphasized to equip government offices along with Sachivalaya and cities across the state with LED lights.

On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel, Revenue Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Deputy Speaker of State Assembly Shri Shambhuji Thakor, Gandhinagar District In-charge Minister Smt. Nirmalaben Vadhwani, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Poonamchand Parmar, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Poonambhai Makawana, Gandhinagar Mayor Shri Pravinbhai Patel, MLAs, GUDA Chairman, District Collector, government officials, office-bearers and local people in huge number were remained present.
