Amdavad: Saturday: Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi inaugurated International exhibition on Stainless Steel-INDINOX: 2010- at Amdavad today. He called upon the industries to manufacture Jim and sports equipment. State government is keen to formulate a special policy that offers encouragement.

INDINOX: 2010, the greatest International Steel Fair is taking place for the first time in India. More than 500 national-international industrialists are taking part; the fair is open up to 19th January.

Highlighting the achievements of Steel-Industries of Gujarat, Chief Minister stated that Gujarat has created industry friendly environment. It is offering immense avenues for trades and industries.

If we trace the record, on every third day a new industrial unit is setting up their shop in Gujarat, or the existing unit goes for expansion. Gujarat is exhibiting resilience and growth with availability of necessary infrastructure, skilled-manpower, Good-Governance, proactive policy, and catering to the energy needs of industries, added C.M.

Considering the health awareness in society, it offers immense possibilities for the industries to set-up Jim and Sports equipment manufacturing units; C.M. gave a call to the industries to set up manufacturing units in Gujarat.

Gujarat does not have Core-Iron, but Gujarat is a leader in steel industries. Coal is not available in Gujarat, but Gujarat has made revolutionary strides in power generation. Though, Gujarat is water scarce state, it has sustained 9.6% growth rate in agriculture. Gujarat is No-1 in agriculture growth in the entire country, said C.M.

In the competitive global era, Gujarat would scale unprecedented growth and development in the next 10 years because of the infinite possibilities and opportunities that has opened up due the upcoming DMIC project. It is likely to open up bright avenues for port- sector growth.

He asked to concentrate on research and development in Steel Industries.

Chief Minister visited stalls at International exhibition.

Chairman Indian Stainless Steel development organization, Shri Ugamrajjee Hundiya termed the International Stainless Steel Fair as the Maha-Kumbh for steel industries. It offers a dynamic platform to small entrepreneurs. He had given a cheque of Rs. 11 Lakh to the Chief Minister as a contribution to Kanya Kelavani Nidhi.

M.D.Shah Alloys, Shri Rajendrabhai Shah delivered welcome address. He outlined the theme and objective of International Fair.

Chairman Steel Authority of India Shri S.K.Rungra termed Gujarat as a model state- registering highest growth with dynamism. Gujarat stands 7th in Steel manufacturing, and 5th in steel consumption .By 2015-16, Gujarat is likely to reach 3rd position in steel manufacturing. He expressed his hope that, we would be able to compete global markets and China, with cost-effectiveness and value addition.

Shri Ratanjee Jindal, Jindal Steel Industries admired industry friendly approach of Gujarat. According to him, Shri Narendrabhai Modi is the best C.E.O. Gujarat has been recognized as the focus-State, so far as the Stainless Steel industries development and growth is concerned. He made an announcement to commission two major Service-Stations in Gujarat.

Swami Shri Guruvandanajee from Tirupati blessed the ceremony. National and International dignitaries attached to Steel industries were present.
