Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel addresses public gathering at Choryasi in Surat

Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel addressed a large public gathering at Choryasi in Surat and assured people about State Government’s determination for the progress of Surat.

Addressing the rally CM Smt. Patel mentioned about the recent welfare works done by the BJP Government that bear the testimony to the progress and development of the city. There isn’t a single house in Surat that doesn’t have a toilet and State Government has made all 4 municipalities open defecation free.

On the occasion, she reminded people about State Government’s resolve towards development and welfare of the people and talked about the recent ground breaking work done for the second phase of Metro Rail in Ahmedabad. It was due to efforts of the PM Shri Narendra Modi that we got loan for Metro Rail from Japan at 2% interest rate, she mentioned.

She informed people that BJP party is thinking ahead of the time, and is ready to meet the growing demands of urban planning and management. 42% of the population is based out of urban cities and by 2030, in next 14 years 60% urbanization would take place, and State Government unlike the opposition is finding ways to address those needs. From strengthening infrastructure, taking care of basic amenities such as drainage, roads, bridges, education, home, and electricity state government has dedicated itself for the welfare of the people. In last 5 years welfare works of Rs 1280 crore have been done only in Surat, she said.

CM Smt. Patel mentioned State Government is working on possible ways to develop Surat. State Government had approved Rs 4000 cr. for development works for all major municipalities and it has already cleared two installments for this and the third installment will be cleared on coming 31st March.

State is committed towards health and prosperity of each and every citizen and has taken an initiative to make government benefits reach out the last man through state wide health camp ‘Healthy Gujarat’. Under this initiative free health screening and treatment for terminal diseases like cancer is provided to all people irrespective of their caste and creed. Through ‘Healthy Gujarat’ camp 51 lakh women have got free screening done. 800 women were diagnosed of Cervical and breast cancer and all these women are receiving free treatment for cancer, she mentioned.

On the occasion, she remembered the hard-work done by Rajabhai Patel and his dedication and support for the party. She requested people of Choryasi to elect Jhankhanaben Patel, the BJP candidate for by-election and repose their faith in government by casting their votes in large numbers.
