The hill station of Saputara is well known for its serene hills, pristine valleys, and water- falls. Nature lovers are making beeline for Gira- Fall, Shabaridham, Pampa Sarovar and Pandav- Caves.

Saputara is all set to celebrate monsoon festival from 30th July to 30th Aug.

Thrilled and humbled that Saputara is being honored as the only hill station of the state, which attracts tourists in big numbers. It provides refreshing opportunity to get close to the nature. Here, tribal- museum showcases the Dangi culture and its traditions. With an inimitable beauty of an exotic and natural world the sunset point and artificial lake are worth seeing destinations.

With breathtaking scenery and its ecological significance, tourists flock here to enjoy monsoon and the picturesque landscapes. Tourism Corporation of Gujarat has launched various packages. Plans are drawn to arrange laser-show, heritage walk, photography- exhibition besides the special tribal tour offering the delight of tribal-dishes.

According to legend, Lord Ram had stayed here during the Vanvas; it used to be known as Dandikaranya. The Sarpagandha River and the lake have its own stories. Saputara, which receives the highest rainfall, is an ideal destination to enjoy monsoon.
