Gujarat CM inaugurates Vibrant VCCI-2016 Global Trade Show at Vadodara

Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani said that Gujarat Government would soon frame a policy to facilitate setting up Defence and Aero Space Allied Industries in collaboration with the Micro Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector. There is plan to set up ‘Vertical Industrial Estates’.

He was inaugurating the 10th ‘Global Trade Show – Vibrant VCCI-2016’ organized by Vadodara Chamber of Commerce and Industries (VCCI) with focus on the MSME sector at Navlakhi Maidan in Vadodara. Representatives from India and seven foreign countries have installed 700 stalls at the show.

CM Shri Rupani exuded confidence that his state is moving towards ‘Make in Gujarat’ in sync with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Make in India’, and working towards the latter’s vision to make Gujarat a Role Model, striking a balance between development and environmental protection. Gujarat has so far implemented nearly 18 policies to implement the Centre’s ‘Make in India, ‘Digital India’, ‘Skill India’ and ‘Startup India’ Schemes.

Congratulating VCCI for this initiative to promote MSME, CM Shri Rupani said that Gujarat tops in the country with over 20 lakh MSME units employing nearly one crore people. More people are employed in the MSMA units in the state rather than in big industries. Business as well as entrepreneurship is in the genes of the Gujaratis – be they in India or abroad

CM Shri Rupani said the Prime Minister’s two steps – GST and Demonetization – would reduce India’s fiscal deficit and make India a surplus country and a super power. He said that special sessions would be held on GST and MSME at the forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit to be held in January 2017.

Union Minister of State for MSME Shri Haribhai Chaudhry, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) CMD Shri Ravindra Nath, VCCI President Shri Nilesh Shukla, VCCI Secretary Shri Himanshu Patel, Minister of State for Sports Shri Rajendra Trivedi, MP Smt Ranjanben Bhatt, Mayor Shri Bharat Dangar, MLAs Shri Yogesh Patel, Shri Jitubhai Sukhadia, Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, Smt Manishaben Vakil, Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Shri Bhupendra Lakhawala, VUDA Chairman Shri N.
