I-Day celebration becomes a festival of development for the people of Mahisagar, as Guj CM dedicated various developmental works

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel launched and dedicated various developmental and public welfare works worth Rs. 113 crore in Mahisagar district on the eve of the 69th Independence Day.

The development works include a new building of ‘Seva Sadan’ with a corporate look, built at the cost of Rs. 32 crore, at the district headquarter Lunawada which, the CM Smt Patel said, will improve the citizen facilitation and also operational efficiency of the government employees.

In addition, CM Smt Patel inaugurated a bridge on Sukhi River built at the cost of Rs. 4.50 crore in Santrampur, a 66 KV sub-station worth Rs. 5.14 crore at Saliya of Virpur taluka, CHC staff quarters built at the cost of Rs. 1.52 crore at Balasinor and CHC staff quarters built at the cost of Rs. 86 lakh at Virpur.

CM Smt Patel also laid foundation stone for a town hall to be built at the cost of 5 crore at Lunawada, Rs. 35 crore Ghodiyar bridge and housing colony to be built at the cost of Rs. 29 crore at Lunawada.

On this occasion, CM Smt Patel stated that with the developmental works that were initiated and inaugurated across the district today, the independence day festival has become the development festival for the people of Mahisagar district in true sense.

State Law Minister Shri Pradeepsinh Jadeja, MPs Shri Prabhatsinh Chauhan and Shri Jasvantsinh Bhabhor, District Panchayat President Shri Dineshbhai Patel, MLAs, Collector Shri K. B. Upadhyay, DDO Shri R. G. Gohil, DSP Usha Rada, other senior officers and people in large number remained present on this occasion.
