Gujarat CM chairs meeting of MSME Advisory Board to give a boost to MSME sector

CM Smt Anandiben Patel chaired meeting of MSME advisory board with an aim to give a boost to MSME sector. To ease the problems faced by industrialists, MSME facilitation desk will be set up in Ahmedabad, Vadodra, Surat and Rajkot. These desks will provide one-stop assistance to entrepreneurs.

MSME facilitation desk will provide below mentioned services

One to one Hand Holding Support to MSMEs

Investor facilitation/Interaction

Guidance for filling forms/approval process

Answering investor queries

Available central & state government incentives and schemes

Facilitating Access to finance to MSMEs

Information for finance from various channels –public/private

Fund raising seminars with key investors

Information regarding various financial incentives through govt. schemes

Setting Up a Business/Enterprise

Assistance in setting up Business/Enterprises

Assistance for market linkages to smes

Sector specific knowledge & projects

In the meeting CM announced GPCB has simplified norms in four areas for validity and annual compliance for improving ease of doing business for MSMEs. Review meetings will be held regularly for follow up and resolving issues and problems faced by small scale industries.

1) The CTE validity of 5 years has been extended to 7 years.

2) New Auto Renewal of CTE for units that couldn’t set up their plant in this validity period of 7 years, fully

3) Green category units can submit self-certified annual compliance report. GBPC officers won’t have to conduct compulsory visits to such units on annual basis.

4) Orange category units can submit the annual compliance reports through the certified/authorized environment auditors no need to visit such units by GPCB.

Further, to encourage young entrepreneurs to set up their business, state government will soon come up with ‘Start Up Mission’ that will give a boost to existing Start Up policy and ensure the growth of MSMEs.
