Gujarat CM emphasizes on value-based education during her visit to Hansapor Primary School in Navsari on the last day of Gunotsav

On the last day of the 6th edition of state-wide Gunotsav drive, Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel visited Hansapor Primary School in Navsari district and evaluated quality of education and other facilities being provided to the students in the school.

During her visit, CM Smt Patel personally sought information about reading-writing skills of children and assessed the quality of education and infrastructural facility. During her interaction with students, teachers and parents, CM Smt Patel stated that it is never too late to improve. She suggested focusing on linguistic and calculative ability in students for the strong knowledge foundation. She also exhorted to adopt innovative educational practices that make learning process easy and natural. Talking about the importance of value-based education system, she said that primary schools play pivotal role in shaping character of child and thus Gunotsav, aimed at improving primary education, holds great significance.

CM Smt Pate stated that quality education is the foundation of the bright future of a nation. She said that all children, irrespective of their social status, have equal ability. The need is to nurture it properly and provide an opportunity, she added. She also encouraged teachers to change their vision and develop love for teaching.

In her speech, CM Smt Patel suggested to teachers and guardians to collectively work and regularly interact for overall development of children. She illustrated the free health check-up drive offered by the state government and appealed villagers to take maximum advantage to build a happy and healthy society. She also laid special emphasis on cleanliness, in-house toilets, elimination of malnutrition, social evils, etc. to save the family and future of their children.

Highlighting the positive outcome of Gunotsav, CM Smt Patel assured that though the Gunotsav drive of this year has come to an end, the state government will continue to take measures to improve the educational scenario in the state.

On this occasion, officials of Education Department, Navsari Collector, DDO, teachers, children, parents and villagers remained present.
