Gujarat CM Asks District Officials to Immediately Resolve Grievances of the People During Lok Samvad Setu at Sutrapada of Gir-somnath

With a view to solve the problems of people by reaching out to them and resolving issues on the spot, Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel conducted Lok Samvad Setu at Sutrapada in Gir-Somnath today.

On this occasion, CM Smt Patel redressed about 200 issues of local people by directing concerned officers on the spot. She instructed officials to solve the issues within the given time limit.

CM Smt Patel directed officers of the Revenue Department and PGVCL to take necessary timely actions, even by exercising suo-moto powers, if required with humanitarian approach. She instructed PGVCL officers to be extra cautious while setting up overhead power lines and ensure safety.

CM Smt Patel instructed to immediately remove all the illegal encroachment, intrusion or trespassing by any element on government or private lands. She instructed officials to follow legal procedure to ensure that nobody’s right is snatched.

CM Smt Patel instructed District Education Officer to monitor and ensure that the computer labs set-up under Computer Aided Learning (CAL) program, are properly working in all the government primary schools.

To handle the shortage of drinking water in the coming summer, she also instructed the concerned officers to supply waters by tankers to villages with water scarcity. She brought immediate solution to the issues related to land records and the applicants were handed-over certificates on the spot.

Talking about the crop loss due to fire or any other mishap, she ordered the concerned officers to personally follow-up with insurance companies and bring early solution of the long pending matters to end woes of the farmers who suffered loss. She also ordered to consider total land registered under one name, instead of individual survey number, to allot solar pumps.

CM Smt Patel stated the farmers and rural people are my eyes and they acquaint me about the ground level reality. She also told district and taluka level officials to organize rural level ‘LokSamvadSetu’ programs by forming teams.

Alongside, CM Smt Patel announced the official launch of 66 KVA Chandkhatal Sub Station of VevaravalTaluka to be built at the cost of Rs. 494 lakh that will further strengthen power infrastructure in the region. She also held a review meeting with district officials and directed them to adopt systematic approach to solving public issues that reduces hardship of the people and ensures speedy redressal of their grievances.
