Chief Minister solves people’s problems at taluka-level Lok Samvad Setu programme at Kalawad in Jamnagar district

Guj CM Smt. Anandiben Patel attended Lok Samvad Setu program at Kalawad in Jamnagar district to listen to the complaints of the people of the state and demonstrated that the state government is dedicated to resolving the problems faced by citizens of the state.

The Lok Samvad which took place at the Mamlatdar’s office featured maximum questions by people related to drinking water and irrigation. CM Smt. Patel attentively listened to the complaints of the people and wherever necessary took the required steps including granting permission for a water tanker, investigating cases of water theft, making necessary proposals etc.

CM Smt. Patel paid special attention to the issue of underground drainage and the problems faced by the citizens because of it and instructed all officials of concerned government departments to give top most priority to the issue and ensure that it is resolved in a short time.

CM Smt. Patel also urged citizens to remain present during the process of re-surveying so that questions related to land measurement can be resolved at that time.

A resident of Kalawad village, Nathabhai Lakhhabhai Chandrapal who has 8 family members including a wife who is disabled requested for a piece of land of 60 x 45 square feet dimensions to build a hotel for supporting his family, which the CM granted immediately.

Out of 163 problems raised at the programme at Kalawad, 149 problems were settled by the end of the day. They included issues pertaining to panchayat 38, roads and buildings 31, land records 20, water supply 19, electricity supply 17, mamlatdar office 13, irrigation 7, education 4, health 2 and 12 of other departments.

After the programme, CM Smt. Patel urged all the officers present to show some activeness in issues related to water-fodder for animals and electricity. She also told them to ensure that the plentiful grants allocated by the state government don’t remain unused and thus directed them to take a humane approach and solve the issues faced by people.

She also directed them to make sure that the commissioned works of increasing the depths of check dams and lakes are started immediately after Diwali. Also, ensure that the commissioned tankers reach villages.

CM Smt. Patel issued strict orders to compile a list of all the check dams and lakes whose depths have been increased in the past one year and forward it to the chief minister’s office within 15 days so that the overall progress of the work can be inspected.

CM Smt. Patel also handed out revised documents to 19 citizens after completing re-survey promulgation and land measurement.

On this occasion, Member of Parliament Shri Poonamben Madam, MLA Shri Meghjibhai Chavda, Chimanbhai Shaparia and various other dignitaries remained present.
