Gujarat CM Dedicates Eklavya Model Residential School for Tribal Students at Jagana in Palanpur

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel has dedicated Eklavya Model Residential School which has been managed by Gujarat State Tribal Education Society and built with a cost of Rs. 19.80 crore in Jagana village of Banaskantha district. Along with providing advanced education to 480 tribal students, housing facilities will also made available in the campus. Mrs. Patel felicitated the karmayogis with certificates who performed best work in construction of Eklavya School.

On this occasion, CM Smt Pate clearly said that the state government has provided the best model school facilities during last fifteen years to equip the tribal students with education who belongs to Vanbandhu families. On the occasion a cheque worth Rs. 1 lakh has been handed over to CM Smt Patel for ‘Kanya Kelavni Nidhi’. She felicitated bright tribal students with certificates and handed over letters of forest rights to cultivate forest land to the Vanbandhus of Banaskantha district. She also allocated sewing machine kits to the women for their economical self-reliance. She distributed cheques to Sakhi Mandals and beneficiaries of Ujjavala and Ujala scheme of the district as well.

CM Smt Patel clearly said that this government has worked to construct separate toilets for girl students in primary schools of Gujarat and therefore the girl education ratio has been increased. She briefed about the success to built residential school campus with best facilities. We have succeeded in providing water and lab-computer facilities in the schools. This government has make Vanbandhus to live with self-respect with a view to providing them rights to cultivate in forest land which was not decided ever since 60 years, she added.

CM Smt Patel shared that it is our commitment to make savings in electricity expenditure by giving 1 crore LED bulbs to the citizens of Gujarat as a part of Prime Minister Ujala Yojna. She described about the pro-farmer decision to provide assistance worth Rs. 4 lakh under Farmer Accident Insurance Scheme along with women-child health and people welfare schemes. She appealed needful people to take benefits of such welfare schemes.

On the occasion, Union Minister of State for Home Shri Haribhai Chaudhary, Minister of State for Health, Family Welfare and Transportation Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, BJP leader Shri K. C. Patel, District BJP President and MLA Shri Keshaji Chauhan, former MLAs, Secretary to Tribal Development Department Shri R. C. Meena, Commissioner Shri Tushar Dholakiya, District collector Shri Jenu Devan, DDO Shri Amit Arora, other dignitaries, office-bearers and citizens were remained present.
