CM resolves 170 public grievances during ‘Loksamvad Setu’ programme in Amreli district

As a part of the ongoing ‘Loksamvad Setu’ drive, one such programme was organised today in Dhari taluka of Amreli district, where CM Smt. Anandiben Patel directly addressed pubic grievances and resolved more than 170 issues on the spot.

During this programme Smt. Patel stressed on achieving the goal of 100% in-house toilet facility in every home. She appealed the women to take up the responsibility of this movement and spread awareness about the same. She said that the news of more and more women pledging for 100% toilet facility depicts the success of Loksamvad Setu initiatives.

On this occasion, Smt. Patel also distributed water-purifiers, sports related equipments and kitchen tools to 165 model aanganwadi of Amreli district. She also expressed that benefits of Government schemes like ‘Amrutam maa Yojna’ should reach out to more and more people. During the programme, Smt. Patel also emphasized that health should be given utmost importance. Birth of healthy children will lead to healthier society, she added. She said that Government of Gujarat is committed to work relentlessly towards health and hygiene of people across the state.

Under the initiative of ‘Gatisheel Gujarat – Target 100 days’, ‘Loksamvad Setu’ programmes are being organized throughout the state to bring speedy redressal of people’s grievances. Talking about the execution of these programmes, Smt. Patel mentioned that till date, they have achieved success ratio of 87 % by resolving more than 6500 cases at the local level through around 70 Loksamvad Setu programmes organized under ‘Gatisheel Gujarat’.

On this occasion, Member of Parliament (Amreli) Mr Naranbhai Kachchadiya announced to grant Rs 2 crore for aanganwadis, from MP’s grant fund. Also, Dhari Taluka Panchayat announced to contribute Rs 25,000 in Kanya Kelavni fund.
