Guj CM’s prompt decision making through SWAGAT resolves long-pending land lease issue of a Shrimp farmer

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel, during a session of ‘SWAGAT Online’, the unique grievances redressal system, today ersonally handed over long-pending land lease order for Shrimp farming to a villager from Bhadeli village of Valsad district, reflecting the humane and transparent approach of the state government.

A villager named Vinodbhai Patel urged to solve his long-pending problem of issuing land lease order for Shrimp farming during state government’s SWAGAT Online program today.

CM Smt Patel collected all the necessary information from the concerned district administration and handed over the land lease order of renewal by the Revenue Department to Vinodbhai during the program itself and promptly resolved the long pending issue.

State wide attention on grievances by application of computer technology – SWAGAT Online, the unique initiative of the state government, is held on every fourth Thursday of the month at Gandhinagar and every fourth Wednesday, one day prior, at district, taluka and village level.

During a session of this program today, CM Smt Patel heard about 8 grievances of people and directed officials for its speedy redressal.

CM Smt Patel clearly instructed district officials to take humanitarian approach in handling issues of poor villagers and also told to create such an ideal situation that common citizen need not take the help of SWAGAT Online program for their grievances.

CM Smt Patel also specifically instructed the police department to curb the elements harassing innocent citizens. She also guided officials on ensuring law and order situation in the state in order to maintain peace and safety of the citizens.

During the SWAGAT Online program today, 2963 issues, i.e. about 73%, out of total 4039 issues including 8 presented before the CM, 551 of district level, 2421 of taluka level and 1059 of village level, have been satisfactorily resolved by proactive and transparent approach.

It is to be mentioned here that by now, total 93%, i.e. 3,45,121 of 3,72,303 complaints have been satisfactorily resolved.
