As the silver moon goes up, the exotic desert-sand is truly unbelievable, to find the metaphor of moon-lit desert is a visual delight. Considered to be one of the most extra-ordinary festivals, the ‘Kutchcha-Carnival' was inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi today at Bhuj. Chef Minister spiritedly contested the view to present the glorious cultural heritage of our nation before the world through tourism. He stated that there is no room for western influence.
By attaining global recognition, Kutchchi-Culture has occupied a premier position in the world .It has carved out a special niche for itself. Chief Minister was speaking after opening the carnival.
The Hamirsar –Pond came alive in all its cultural glory today. As many as 36 cultural editions mesmerized the audience. National and International tourists, dignitaries from 17 countries enjoyed the graceful performances. Chief Minister welcomed the overwhelming response to the carnival. Within short span the festival has won the proverbial hearts and minds of the tourists, added C.M.
Chief Minister illustrated the tourism potential of Gujarat,” Gujarat has power and potential to attract and enchant the tourists. We have the oldest –Indus Valley Civilisation- Dhola-Veera. Kutchch has potential to become gateway to the Tourism. “Laugh and wink with the rhythms of the desert.
State Government has remained catalyst in promoting tourism. The public-participation has worked wonders. Referring to the massive employment generation through tourism, Chief Minister expressed his firm confidence that tourism sector would contribute crores and crores of rupees to the economy. He also outlined the theme to develop tourism in Kutchcha.
Chief Minister claimed that Gujarat has maximum numbers of heritage-buildings per kilometer in India. He reaffirmed his commitment to take Kutchcha tourism to sublime heights by developing sports tourism, adventure tourism, health tourism, and beach tourism in the region.
Following the carnival, the Tent-City would get utilized for the Chintan-Shibir. NSS camps are also to be organised by different universities at the Tent-City.
Tourism Minister Shri Jaynarayan Vyas elaborated the tourism friendly initiatives taken by State Government under the leadership of Shri Narendrabhai Modi. Tourism sector is bound to experience robust growth in the coming days. Shri Modiji has organised Navratri-Mahotsav, Patang Mahotsav and Kutchcha Carnival, it has really grabbed an important position in the world.
State Minister Shri Vasanbhai Ahir said that for 45 years no one paid any attention towards Kutchcha. Under the visionary leadership of Narendrabhai, aspirations of the people are fulfilled. Narendrabhai gave Kutchcha a separate University. His policy initiatives gave tremendous fillip to agriculture in Kutchcha. His upscale initiatives brought Narmada water to Kutchcha. Chairman –Tourism Corporation –Shri Kamleshbhai Patel welcomed the dignitaries. Chief Minister felicitated the International dignitaries and foreign delegates.
Chief Minister also released the “Kutchcha-Kaleidoscope”, which is authored by photo-journalist Shri Vivek Desai.
M.P. Shri Punamben Jat, MLAs, Business wizards, eminent leaders, and top officials were among the others who attended the function.
