Tana-Riri Mohatsav (Music Festival) begins from tomorrow, 4th November 2011 at Vadnagar. The festival is held as a tribute to the two sisters Tana and Riri at Vadnagar every year. The Tanariri story is of the great Mughal ruler Akabar's times (1526 A.D. to 1605 A.D.).

Minister for Youth and Cultural Affairs Mr. Fakirbhai Vaghela will inaugurate the festival. Country's well known Singer Girijadevi will be conferred the 2011 Award. The two days festival will be attended by best female singers who will sing the melodious tunes.

Smt. Anandiben Patel will grace the festival on the second day, 5th November. 

CM Narendra Modi had announced the first ever Tana-Riri awards in 2010, to be given to those who have devoted their lives to music. The first award was conferred on to Lata and Usha Mangeshkar in 2010 festival.

Well known Singers like Rekha Raval, Anita Pandit and Shivranjani Pandit will give their performance at the festival on the 4th November. On 5th November, famous singer Sadhana Sargam, Delhi's Kumud Diwan and Savri Shah, Kajri Shah and Bhumi Trivedi will give classical music performance.
