Gujarat CM addresses industry leaders at GCCI Summit and Expo in Gandhinagar today

Guj CM Smt. Anandiben Patel inaugurated Summit and Expo – 2016 organized by Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar today. While addressing a huge gathering of Industrialists, CM Smt. Patel conveyed the state government’s dedication towards facilitating ease of doing business.

In the trade and business convention, CM Smt. Patel said that the state government is working on resolving most of the issues related to GIDC. Moreover, the government is committed to satisfactory resolution of issues related to transport, energy, food and health, value added tax, forest, and environment through discussions.

CM Smt. Patel commended GCCI for making booklets detailing the steps that need to be taken to make ease of doing business more effective. She added that officials will study the booklet carefully and work on effectively implementing the recommendations mentioned in it.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Smt. Patel said that government through its development oriented works is dedicated to providing equal opportunities to every citizen and industrialist alike. Moreover, she added that along with business and trade, the government also gives priority to issues like malnutrition in children and pregnant women, canals of Narmada, land acquisition etc.

CM Smt. Patel informed that Shri Narendra Modi started the ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ initiative in 2003 which is now being implemented in other states of the nation as well which is a matter of great pride for our state. Talking about the 2017 Vibrant Gujarat Summit, she urged industrialists to come up with novel ideas for implementing in next year’s summit.

CM Smt. Patel also gave details about government’s decision to start a new cell for small businesses for the purpose of development of MSMEs.

Talking about another unprecedented achievement of Gatisheel Gujarat, CM Smt. Patel said that due to the government’s efforts Gujarat is at the forefront in capital investment under FDI among top 10 states of India and China. To further strengthen Gujarat’s trade and industries, CM Smt. Patel will meet with industrialists for one hour every Monday morning and endeavor to resolve the issues faced by them.

Thanking the huge crowd made up trade and industry leaders, CM Smt. Patel expressed her confidence that with collaborative efforts of industry leaders and government, next year’s Vibrant Gujarat Summit will generate maximum employment in the state.
