Gujarat CM calls for creating social awareness for girl’s education at International Raghuvanshi Conference in Viramgam taluka

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel attended International Raghuvanshi Conference organized in memory of Sadguru Bhan Saheb by Lohana Mahaprarishad at Kamij village in Viramgam taluka today.

On this occasion, CM Smt Patel called for creating a social awareness for girl’s education and said that a healthy and educated girl child is a boon to a cultured and progressive society.

CM Smt Patel stated that the Kanya Kelavani Abhiyan has resulted in girl’s level of education going up from 58% in 2001 to 74% in 2011. Similarly, the gender ratio has gone up from 802:1000 to 904:1000 over the same period. Over 56 lakh women were medically examined in the state and women cancer patients are being treated at the nearest government hospital free-of-cost.

She hailed the Lohana Samaj initiative to build a hospital at Ambaji in future. The Raghuvanshi Samaj presented a cheque of Rs.5 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Kanya Kelavani Nidhi. The Lohana Yuva Samaj prepared a mobile app of blood donors required anywhere in the state.

The famous Ramayan preacher Morari Bapu, the Bhan Saheb seat head Mahant Jankidas Bapu, Lohana Mahaparishad President Pravinbhai Kotak, MLAs Nimaben Aharya and Mahendrabhai Mashru, District Collector Rajkumar Beniwal, delegates from other parts of India and abroad and many others remained present on this occasion.
