Gujarat CM inaugurates GujTech Industrial Expo 2016 in Ahmedabad

Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel inaugurated GUJTECH Industrial Expo 2016 in Ahmedabad today. CM congratulated team of GUJTECH for their commendable effort of organizing industrial expo every two years. Expo consists of 300 stalls of small and medium scale business unit.

She highlighted that state government is committed to provide best infrastructure facilities for industries to flourish and has taken effective steps to promote small scale business units.

To encourage small scale industrialists, special sheds for small scale industries are planned by GIDC. Also, planning for multi-level estate for 36 industrial estates is done, in which planning for 25 to 30 multi-purpose shed of 50 to 100 square meters is done.

She mentioned, earlier small scale industrialists faced issue of getting loans and funds but through state government’s MUDRA scheme industrialists can get a loan ranging Rs 50,000 to 10, 00,000 lakh. In last six months, under Mudra scheme loan worth Rs 19 cr. has been disbursed.

Multilevel estate will be built for small units in total 10 identified GIDC that includes Sanand, Chatral, Vapi, Umargam, Kathwada and others.

Besides this, to encourage women entrepreneurs’ government has already announced to provide separate shed for women entrepreneurs at Sanand GIDC estate. Now, Halol and Bharuch GIDC will also have separate shed and industrial park for women entrepreneurs.

She mentioned Government will soon announce a Defense policy and state is making collective effort in providing required infrastructure facilities and skilled manpower required for defense manufacturing.

To give boost to young entrepreneurs government has announced Start Up Policy, she mentioned. Other area of focus for government is Skill Development and it has collaborated with industrial giants like L&T to provide skill training. Government is making continuous efforts to establish Single Window Clearance which will ease the business procedure and efforts are made in the area of providing all information Online, she mentioned.

CM Smt Patel stated Gujarat is preferred destination for industrialists and it’s known for providing conducive environment and facilities for businesses to thrive. In this context she mentioned, 51.108 cr. investment intentions have been received through Vibrant Gujarat Summit- 2015 in the duration of January to August 2015.

Gujarat has 36.5% contribution in implementation of proposals for industrial investment in last 5 years; it falls in the list of top 3 states for receiving proposals for investment in industrial capital and it ranks first in implementation of the proposals. She mentioned, Gujarat ranked first in ease of doing business and it successfully met the criteria charted by World Bank report. Out of the total MOUs signed in Vibrant Gujarat 2015’ 33% have reached implementation phase.

On the occasion CM also launched a booklet in Gujarati for policies.
