CM Dedicates Development Works worth Rs. 89.68 cr in Tribal-dominated Mahisagar District

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani today dedicated 6 development projects and laid foundations worth Rs. 89.68 crore in majority Vanvasi area Santrampur of newly established Mahisagar district. He also felicitated five women Sarpanchs for making open defection free gram panchayat. He also distributed of Rs. 21 lakh assistance under MSME and Rs. 42.40 lakh cheques to farmers for farming loan.

During the event, CM Shri Rupani also given rupees five crore cheque to Collector for the development of Mangadh tourism. He awarded appointment letters to junior clerk, talati, gram-sewak, multi-purpose health worker, female health workers selected through Mahisagar District Panchayat Sewa Selection Committee. He also announced about meal in just Rs. 10 to Vanvasis going for labour in other districts from May.

CM Shri Rupani said that after 70 years of independent, current government has implemented PESA act to protect rights of tribal. Due to implementation of PESA act Vanbandhus can directly have their money of produces without any intermediates. He added that a medical college will started in vanvasi belt, which is from Ambaji to Umbergaon, so that vanvasi boys and girls can become doctor. Moreover there is a special provision is made in current year budget for starting Sainik School in tribal area. He also added that water supply schemes will be commissioned with Rs. 4,500 crore expenses so that people of vanvasi area can get potable water through kadana, tapi, ukai and Narmada dam.

He said that Tribal University in Narmada District and Govind Guru University has been commissioned for the first time in the country. He added that fees regulation also have been passed so that poor children can study. According to this law, private schools Stewarts will have to accept fees as decided by government. He said that government will provide 50% assistance to elders more than 60 years and also increased in pension amount given to widows and elders. He also briefed about achievement of government.

LilabenAnkoliya, Chairman of forest Development Corporation Shri KuberbhaiDindor, office bearers, Collectors and people in large were remained present.
