CM Attends Chaitra Navratri Mahotsav in Amreli

CM Smt. Anandiben Patel attended Chaitra Navratri Mahotsav and Shiv Katha at Garni village in Babra taluka of Amreli District. Speaking on the occasion, she expressed her pride in the rich heritage of the nation and said that saints have kept Indian traditions alive in the society and are true gems of society. She also talked about Lord Shiva and the significance of the various objects and animals that are associated with him. Talking about the knowledge prevalent in ancient India and the practices pioneered by our ancestors, she explained how modern science and ancient rituals and practices are intertwined. She also highlighted some of the greatest intellectual achievements of our ancestors and stressed that developing a scientific attitude is necessary for progress and development. Moreover, it was a prevalence of scientific attitude in ancient India that led to all these achievements.

CM Smt. Patel also urged the citizens of the village to construct monuments dedicated to brave men of the village who made great contributions to the development of the village so that the new generation receives inspiration for doing good deeds from these memorials. She also requested people to take maximum advantage of the various people-centric initiatives launched by the state government. She stressed on the need to have toilets in each house so that all villages of the state can be open defecation free and she expressed her determination that the government will take all necessary steps to make it a reality. Khetivadi Uttpan Bazaar Samiti – Babra, Bagasra, and Lathi and various other organizations handed over a huge sum of money to CM Smt. Patel for the Chief Minister Cleanliness Fund.

On this occasion, Member of Parliament Shri Naranbhai Kachhadia, MLA from Savarkundla-Lilia Shri V.V. Vaghasiya, Additional District Magistrate Shri J.K. Thesia, District BJP President Shri Hirenbhai Hirpara, and various other dignitaries remained present.
