Gujarat CM Attends Samrasta Sammelan at Surat and Vadodara

Hon’ble CM Smt. Patel attended Samrasta Sammelan at Bardoli in Surat and Vadodara organized under the government’s ‘Gram Uday thi Bharat Uday’ initiative today. Speaking on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of Dr. Babsaheb Ambedkar, CM Smt. Patel spoke about the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar in framing the constitution of our nation and how he stood firmly for equal opportunities and equal rights for all citizens of the country. He was a true savior of the discriminated and the disadvantaged people.

CM Smt. Patel expressed her pride that BJP has always followed the ideals and principles of Babasaheb and endeavored for the welfare of every citizen, unlike Congress. As a result, the BJP government in Gujarat led by Shri Narendra Modi at first and then by Smt. Patel aimed to provide education to every child of the state and it was Shri Modi’s efforts which ensured ample water for drinking and irrigation to every part of the state. CM Smt. Patel also talked about the various initiatives launched by the government aimed at the welfare of citizens like healthy Gujarat under which free treatment and screening is being offered to women suffering from cancer, providing adequate nutrition to malnourished children and free treatment of cleft lip and club foot in kids. Talking about implementing Dr. Babasaheb’s vision of developed India, she proudly described how the central government envisioned the use of the extensive coastline of the nation to establish industries which would provide employment to citizens through the recently concluded Maritime Summit. The 4 MOUs signed at the Summit by her worth Rs. 35000 Crore will extensively benefit Gujarat and its citizens. Also, poor people of the state deserve ample food and shelter for which the government provides grains at subsidized rate under the MAA Annapurna Yojana. Moreover, over 3 lakh affordable homes have been constructed.

The government aims at providing quality health care to all and it has expanded the range of diagnosis tests available at government healthcare centers so that citizens wouldn’t have to go to private laboratories and pay higher prices.

Talking about empowering youth through skill development, she explained that the government has partnered with L&T for providing skill development program related to engineering near Vadodara. Moreover, she added that technology is very important to secure employment and as a result the youth should learn how to make use of technology for their brighter future. As a way to get rid of poverty, she requested people to develop skills and use talent to secure employment.
