Gujarat CM holds review meeting at Kalavad in Jamnagar district

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel held a review meeting at Kalavad Mamlatdar office to appraise the current situation of Jamnagar district with officials during her visit to the district today.

In this meeting, CM Smt Patel heard the issues of health, irrigation, electricity, roads, land etc. of Jamnagar district presented by the concerned departments. She instructed SP Shri Pradeep Shejul to strictly curb the water theft from Narmada pipeline passing from the villages of Kalavad taluka.

CM Smt Patel instructed to carry out survey for four track Rajkot-Kalavad road and also instructed health officer to provide sufficient health care to all the 104 villages of Kalavad taluka.

CM Smt Patel gave instructions on the spot to carry out the work of desilting to crease the capacity of Balambhadi Dam and to allow farmers to use the removed silt as natural manure. She also ordered the concerned officers to immediately disburse the grant for fencing and to organize training as per the requirements.

CM Smt Patel emphasized on economical use of water and said that the state government will leave no stone unturned to provide 140 lt. of water to every citizen of the state. She specifically commented to create awareness on this.

In this review meeting, MP Smt Poonamben Madam, MLAs Shri Meghjibhai Chavda and Shri Chimanbhai Sapariya, Municipality President Shri P. P. Thesia, Chairman of Rural Housing Development Board Shri Mulubhai Bera, In-charge Secretary Shri V.P. Patel, Collector Shri R. J. Makadia, Resident Additional Collector Shri K. B. Thakkar, Superintendent of Police Shri Pradeep Shejul and officers of the concerned departments remained present.
