CM attends Ravi Krushi Mahotsav at Botad, distributes assistance worth Rs. 90 lakh to beneficiary farmers

Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel today attended ‘Ravi Krushi Mahotsav’ at Botad. In a series of motivating events for the farmers of the state that are slated to go on till the 21st of December, Smt. Anandiben spoke to the farmers about how they are the nurturers and makers of the country.

Smt. Patel the state government has made an allocation of about Rs. 250 Crores of as assistance to farmers for purchase of tractors, rotavators, chaff cutters and other tools. This, she said, is an attempt to perform the government’s duties at supporting effective farming.

Smt. Anandiben shared that she herself comes from a farming background and completely aware about all the issues that farmers face. At the event, she also emphasised on the in-house toilet campaign to help the rural women live a healthier and more comfortable life, as well as to facilitate the Clean India campaign.

At the event the Chief Minister also spoke about the use of science and technology to improve and increase the farm produce.She spoke of the scheme under which milking machine will be distributed to cut down time spent on the process of milking. This, she said, would give the women time to take care of the nurturing and upbringing of the children, who are our future and greatest investment. Smt. Anandiben Patel spent time discussing the many technological and process-based innovations that help the farmers to a great extent.

Smt. Patel handed over cheques worth Rs.90 lakhs to farmers for the purchase of different farm tools. Further, a cumulative amount of Rs. 4,78,000 was donated to the Chief Minister as a part of the in-house toilet campaign.

The event was attended by a large number of people keen on listening to their leader for motivation and guidance. Local MLAs and senior government officials were also present on the occasion.
