Gujarat CM attends release of coffee-table book ‘Gujarat – Marching Ahead’ describing continued growth journey of state

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel today presided over a function held at Gujarat University Convention Center in Ahmedabad to launch a Coffee-table Book titled “Gujarat – Marching Ahead” with the ticker Anandi Marg… Journey of Inclusive Growth’ published by Pune based Ameya Inspiring Books which focuses on inclusive growth story of Gujarat and how Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel is seamlessly carrying forward the rich legacy of Gujarat development model.

The book was launched by noted Gujarati author and thinker Padmashri Gunvantbhai Shah and 12 women achievers from diverse cross-sections of the state also joined the CM in this book launch ceremony.

‘Gujarat…Marching Ahead’ is an illustrative book containing depiction of CM Smt Patel’s relentless efforts and result oriented work style combined with sensitive mind translated into vital connect between her and masses. The book presents a never-before seen side of the Government and mainly the CM’s working and thought process. It also sheds light on how big projects and multi tasking can all move together simultaneously in the government.

In her key-note address, CM Smt Patel shared some interesting examples of women empowerment which she has come across during her political career. She praised all the 12 women sharing the dais and added that these women have given pride to the state. She also said that 50% women reservation is a step ahead towards women empowerment. She recalled the words of Shri Narendra Modi that development is not possible without the support of women.

Talking on the importance of teacher-student relationship for student’s academic and social development, she recalled her olden days when she was studying. She also appreciated the support of her family in building her educational, social and political life.

CM Smt Patel talked about her decision to be greeted with fruit baskets and other nutritious food products instead of flowers and garlands, which would later distributed among the poor children of local Anganwadis. She added that now the society has become more conscious about the consequences of malnutrition.

CM Smt Patel expressed her gratitude towards Shri Gunvantbhai Shah for his co-operation. She also thanked all those who have worked hard in preparing this book. She told everybody to read the book and give suggestions to make necessary improvement in the governance.

The writer and publisher of the book Shri Ulhas Latkar, College days teachers of the CM Shri N R Shah and Shri Keshubhai Patel, members of the council of ministers, MLAs, Ahmedabad Mayor Smt Meenaxiben Patel and other dignitaries and invitees remained present at the event.
