Gujarat CM launches 4th phase of Gatisheel Gujarat

Gujarat CM Smt. Anandiben Patel affirmed the government’s commitment to increase the efficiency of result-oriented public welfare work and boost administrative work ethic by launching the 4th phase of Gatisheel Gujarat today.

Speaking on the occasion CM Smt. Patel conveyed a need to act towards intensive coordination between government departments as well as between district administrative mechanisms in the 4th phase. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd phase of Gatisheel Gujarat achieved 138, 126 and 133 % success respectively.

CM Smt. Patel said that over 251 public welfare related aspects are covered under 19 themes in the 4th phase and assured that this development oriented public campaign of the Gujarat government will inspire public welfare oriented work ethic in administrative departments. She further added that the government will never let public welfare work stop.

Talking about the defining characteristics of the 4th phase, CM Smt. Patel informed that various teams of officials will be formed at the district level and they will adopt an innovative routine of visiting different villages of the district once a week to sit together with people and aim to resolve their issues and problems on the spot.

CM Smt. Patel said that achieving the objective by quick and easy resolution of issues shouldn’t be the main aim instead officials should adopt a humane approach while solving common man’s problems. She also informed about the government’s aim to build smart villages equipped with modern facilities under the 4th Phase of Gatisheel Gujarat in rural areas of the state by beginning work on all development-oriented initiatives in the period between 1st may i.e. Gujarat Foundation Day and 2nd October i.e. Gandhi Jayanti.

Moreover, she further said that in the next series of Lok Samvad Setu, the session will begin with a review of the progress made on resolving issues which were left unsolved in previous meetings.

Chief Secretary Shri G.R. Aloria congratulated officials for the resounding success of the first three phases of Gatisheel Gujarat.

The event began with a demonstration of a CD of Gatisheel Gujarat. CM Smt. Patel also unveiled a booklet detailing the Gatisheel Gujarat 2016-17 initiative.

On the occasion, cabinet ministers of the state, parliamentary secretaries, senior secretaries, Additional Chief Secretary of General Administration Department Shri Anil Mukim and Secretary of Administrative Reforms & Training Division Shri Vipul Mitra remained present.
