CM Smt. Anandiben Patel reviewed 150 days of ‘Gatisheel Gujarat’ in 12 districts of Saurashtra region

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel today called on the district administration to ensure that while achieving targets, the benefits of various people’s welfare projects should not be forgotten and should reach the truly needy.

Addressing the Collectors, District Development Officers and Superintendents of Police to review the progress in 150 days of ‘Gatisheel Gujarat’ in 12 districts of Saurashtra region at Rajkot, Smt. Anandiben Patel also called for co-ordination among departments concerned for widespread implementation of all round development of the districts.

Smt. Anandiben Patel asked the officers take the lead in creating awareness and in implementing the government’s welfare projects, like nutritious food to extremely malnourished children and iron-enriched food for lactating mothers.

For checking crime against women, the Chief Minister called for adequate publicity and promotion to ensure greater participation of women in Lok Darbars at Police Stations.

Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel asked the administration to implement cleanliness at hospitals health centers and public places; and the in-house toilet campaign on mission mode, as corporate social responsibility in collaboration with industrial houses and voluntary organizations, taking people from all walks of life, in a time-bound manner. She called for the need to provide training to job aspirants at district level to participate in competitive examinations.

Giving outlines of the 114 items to be implemented under Gatisheel Gujarat, GAD Secretary Dhananjay Dwivedi shared that 68 items are to implemented at district level and 31 for creating public awareness in campaign mode.

A similar meeting was conducted in Vadodara yesterday, as will be conducted in Mehsana tomorrow, Saturday the 29th of November.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary D.J. Pandian, Additional Chief Secretary G.R. Aloria and M.S. Dagur, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries, and Muncipal Commissioners.
