Gujarat Chief Minister extends Vikram Samvat New Year greetings to State Police Force

Monday, At Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today called on the State Police Force to convey their commendable performance in maintaining peaceful law-and-order situation during the last decade, to the people.

Extending his Vikram Samvat New Year to the police officers at their get-together organized by State Police Force on the occasion of Diwali, he asked all police personnel from constable to top officer to use social media and other mediums to leave the footprints of their achievements among people.

Mr. Modi said that maintaining law-and-order in the society against odds is no small achievement for which the police personnel could legitimately feel proud.

He said that Gujarat Police has undertaken an initiative of modernizing social security through e-Governance technology. The police force has to maintain utmost calm and remain extra alert during the forthcoming General Election, a proud moment for the democracy, next year.

Gujarat’s Director-General of Police Pramod Kumar and other police officers, besides Chief Secretary Varesh Sinha, extended warm welcome to the Chief Minister.
