CM Offers Prayers at Naklank Dham in Toraniya

Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel attended a ‘Shiv Katha’ which was organized by the villagers of Nana Parbadi village situated in Rajkot district and dedicated a beautiful garden. In this regard CM Smt. Patel said that people welfare works are not possible for a state government without the support of the citizens. She announced that Gujarat Government will develop 300 smart villages with a qualitative approach. Along with basic facilities such as roads, water, and health, the government will aim to ensure a quality standard. The smart villages will feature digital connection; have equal infant gender ratio, should be free from malnutrition and death of mothers during delivery, and have 100% literacy.

Informing the people that the Smart Village initiative is not just limited to villages designated by the government, CM Smt. Patel said that if any village applies for the Smart Village initiative along with the works done with PPP description, then such villages will be selected as smart villages. Special grant of Rs. 1 crore, Rs. 50 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh will be provided to these villages as per its census to be used for physical and qualitative development works.

Talking about the glory of ancient India, CM Smt. Patel highlighted the influence of ancient India on modern medical science. In an effort to enhance the economic activity of women in the state, CM Smt. Patel also announced that the government has decided to hand over the work of electric meter bill reading to women of Sakhi Mandals. Moreover, she added that the work of renovating the roads of the village will be started soon.

CM Smt. Patel visited Nakalank Dham situated in Torania village of Rajkot district and obtained blessings from Saint Mr. Rajendrabapu. She praised the unity of Nani Parabdi village and lauded the Women Milk Producing Co-operative Society of the village for providing one-litre milk daily to Anganwadi children. The leaders of the village Mr. Pravinbhai Gajera and Mr. Dhirubhai Sawani handed over a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh to Smt. Patel for Kanya Kelavni Nidhi.

On this occasion, Minister of State Mr. Jayeshbhai Radadiya, MLA Mr. Pravinbhai Makadiya, Saints Shri Haridasji Maharaj, Shri Shyamsundarji Maharaj, religious narrator Mr. Kanaiyalal Bhatt, local leaders, Collector Sushree Manisha Chandra, and DDO Mr. J. N. Vaghela remained present.
