CM dedicates Nursing Hostel and PG Hostel in Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad

On the occasion of 57th Gujarat Gaurav Divas, Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani dedicated newly constructed nursing hostel and PG hostel in civil hospital campus of Ahmedabad. With considering nursing profession as the noble profession of versatile services Mr. Rupani said that it is the nightingale like work of humane approach to serving the sick person, to mitigate disease of poor, deceased and each needful person through healing process with affectability. He also discussed with nursing students.

The nursing hostel built with a cost of Rs. 35 crore and PG hostel built with a cost of Rs. 62 crore. Nursing hostel has capacity to house 540 girl students and 1000 girl students in PG hostel as well. Government has incurred cost worth Rs. 888 crore towards modernization of Asia’s biggest Civil Hospital as a master plan within year 2017.

He clearly said that Gujarat which separated from Mumbai state has became as alike the word development. In 1960, while Gujarat state was separated, some people were doubtful about the progress of development, education and industries in Gujarat. But, after 57 years Gujarat has visualize about its potential and capabilities to the world, he added.

Mr. Rupani said that the seats of nursing and medical education have reached to 9917 in last one and half decade. We have redressed the issue of nursing education while it has only 600 seats in past, he added.

Mr. Rupani expressed his desire to recruit two thousand vacancies in nursing and medical sector. He also expressed his commitment to provide special incentive –subsidy so that super specialty hospital could also be open in remotest areas of the state. State Government Is planning to commence new courses for digital care, midwife training, paramedical staff for mental health, cardiology nursing etc.

Minister of State for Health Department Mr. Shankarbhai Chaudhary said that Government is committed to extend health services to the last men. For modernization and renovation and construction of new specialty hospitals Government, has made systematic planning.

On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel, Minister of State for Health Department Mr. Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Minister of State for Home Department Mr. Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Minister of State for Women & Child Welfare Department Mrs. Nirmalaben Vadhwani, Ahmedabad west zone MP Dr. Kititbhai Solanki and Ahmedabad Mayor Mr. Gautambhai Shah, other dignitaries and people were remained present.
