Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel releases Information Department’s ‘Career Guidance Special-2014’ for post-Standard X and XII students

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today released the annual ‘Career Guidance Special-2014’, published by State Information Department, to help students choose future course of studies or career after passing out Standard X and Standard XII.

Speaking at a function to mark the occasion, Mrs. Patel said the book of vital importance should be very useful to the students in straightway going for employment, or higher education or choosing a professional course for better employment. She said the book fulfilled the government’s commitment to skill development of the youth as well as their employability.

Giving details of the book, Commissioner of Information Bhagyesh Jha said that it is divided into four major sections for post-Standard X and post-Standard XII, about courses for higher education offered by universities, career options, scope for self-employment and entrepreneurship, besides related information available in websites.

He said the most significant objective of the book is to encourage the students choose the right career or go for higher education to suit individual temperament and qualification.

The highly valuable book will be available from Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Rs.20 (Rupees Twenty only) from district offices of the State Information Department, as well as from authorized dealers.

Those present on the occasion included Joint Directors of Information Arvind Patel and Pulak Trivedi, Deputy Director of Information K.A. Karamta, other officers of the department Parimal Desai and Pravin Sonaria.
