CM talks about women empowerment at Golden Jubilee Celebration of Navrachana Edu Soc

In an attempt to give a boost to women empowerment, Gujarat CM Smt. Anandiben Patel inaugurated Savitaben Amin Institute for Girls and Women – NavKaushalya. The inauguration took place at the Golden Jubilee celebration of Navrachana Education Society.

Thanks to NavKaushalya, women with exceptional abilities will be given guidance and support to take up short term courses that can help them earn a living.

Smt. Anandiben shared that now-a-days schools and colleges only impart bookish knowledge which is not enough. While congratulating the Navrachana Education Society, the Hon. CM said that in this institute, the women will be given guidance about good habits, cleanliness, morals, child upbringing and other such values along with skill development. The CM also said that she believes that this program will empower and educate women in the lower income strata and help the women to be at par with their peers.

Hon. CM shared that it is her aim to bring citizens of various income groups together. It is this parity that will help bring the country to a higher level. While talking about in-house toilet campaign, Smt. Anandiben ensured that each and every household in the state is equipped with a toilet in the next three years. She sought public participation to eradicate malnutrition from the state also. She appealed to everybody to extend full support and to join the cause to make it a success.

Hon. CM also spoke of the weaker schools in Dang that were adopted by charities and trusts to start educating more and more students who display exceptional prowess in all competitive sectors and exams. She spoke of the extremely small and badly performing schools in Chhota Udaipur and asked the social influencers and donors of Vadodara to adopt them and help them come up.

Smt. Patel also spoke of the ‘Clean India, Clean Gujarat’ campaign. She also launched the website created for it by Vadoara circle of Income Tax Dept. and congratulated all those who have participated in this noble cause initiated by our Prime Minister.

Smt. Anandiben distributed uniforms, educational tools, water purifiers and other necessary items to the 10 Anganwadis that have been adopted by the Navrachana Education Society; while also felicitating the three national award winning teachers of the education society.

The event was graced by MP Smt. Ranjanben Bhatt, Mayor Shri Bharatbhai Shah, Deputy Mayor Smt. Sunitaben Shukla, MLAs Shri Yogesh Patel, Shri Jitubhai Sukhadia, Shri Rajendra Trivedi, Smt. Manisha Vakil, Collector Shri Vinod Rao, trustees of the organization, leading educationalists, parents and students in large number. The newly appointed Deputy Mayor, Smt. Sunitaben Shukla was also honoured at the event.
