Enhancing travelling experience of GSRTC passengers, Guj CM dedicates world-class Bus Port at Geeta Mandir in Ahmedabad

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel today inaugurated world-class Bus Port at Geeta Mandir in Ahmedabad. Redeveloped on PPP model, Geeta Mandir Bus Port is well-equipped with modern facilities, giving it airport-like feel to enhance travelling experience of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation passengers.

In her address, CM Smt Patel expressed happiness that besides ensuring amenities for commuters, special arrangements have been made for bus drivers and conductors to rest and relax between their journeys. She said that Government of Gujarat is committed towards ensuring welfare of all the citizens, with various pro-people and pro-welfare initiatives. CM Smt Patel spoke about the ongoing state-wide health camps being organized by the government and urged people to take maximum benefits out of it. She said that all the staff members, bus drivers and conductors should be extended best health care facilities.

As envisioned by the then CM of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi, several bus stations across Gujarat will be redeveloped to offer best services to approximately 25 lakh daily commuters. On the occasion, CM Smt Patel said that it is matter of pride that this modern Bus Port has come up at the same place where Shri Modi once used to sell tea.

Ministers Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Ahmedabad Mayor Smt Meenakshiben Patel were also present on the occasion.
