Gujarat CM marks one year of state govt., initiates works for providing potable water in Aravalli district

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel marked the completion of one year of state government today, by laying foundation stone of water-supply projects in Aravalli district. Based on Vatrak and Majhum water reservoir, this water supply project worth Rs 517 crore will provide Narmada waters to 501 villages of 5 talukas and 3 cities.

CM Smt Patel informed that works for this 1500 km long pipeline will be completed in coming 18 months. She ensured people about the commitment of state government towards providing potable water to every person across the state.

In her address, CM Smt Patel spoke about various pro-people initiatives taken up by the state government and appealed to people to take maximum benefits of the schemes. On the occasion, CM Smt Patel also felicitated women groups involved in repairing hand-pumps-as task often considered as male-centric job.

On the occasion of completing one year of Gujarat government, CM Smt Patel thanked people of the state for their unflinching support and their continued contribution in the success of ‘Gatisheel Gujarat’.
