Gujarat CM lauds the efforts of Government for the global recognition of our ancient pilgrimage while dedicating development works at Becharaji

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel dedicated development works worth Rs. 22 crores at famous pilgrimage Becharaji in North Gujarat today.

On this occasion, CM Smt Patel proudly stated that pilgrimage of the state have become feature rich and full of facilities as a result of good governance and public participation. She added that the efforts of Narendra Modi government have helped gain global identity to our ancient pilgrimages.

CM Smt Patel outlined the aspects of religious tourism development and stated that this can also be helpful in employment generation along with providing facilities to the tourists. During her speech, she recalled Sardar Patel’s vow to reconstruct Somnath Temple after independence and told that our pilgrimages have social and spiritual significance.

Talking about the effective maintenance of cleanliness, CM Smt Patel said that pilgrimages should be noted for their sacred atmosphere, which will attract more pilgrims and tourists and can also boost revenue generation.

CM Smt Patel, during her speech, talked about immediate clearance of some of the most ambitious development projects of Gujarat by the PM Shri Narendra Modi, which will take the state to greater heights.

The development works inaugurated by the CM Smt Patel includes Popat Vasa Yatrik Bhavan constructed at the cost of Rs. 3.29 crore, Arrival Plaza for the pilgrims worth Rs. 17.06 crore and Palkhi Rath worth Rs. 1.34 crore. She also announced development works worth Rs. 73 crore including renovation of entry gate, electric supply, ITI building and circuit house.

MP Smt Jayshreeben Patel, Chairman of GTDC Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, Ex-MP Shri Bachubhai Dabhi, MLAs Shri Naranbhai Patel and Shri Rushikesh Patel, DDO Shri Langha, Collector Shri Ramesh Merja, Administrators of Bahucharaji Temple and people in large number remained present on this occasion.
