CM inaugurates Agri-Tech Asia exhibition, a platform that displays latest innovations in farm technology

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel inaugurated a 3-day long ‘Agri-Tech Asia 2014’ exhibition at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar today. This exhibition, showcasing the knowledge on modern agricultural technique, crop produces, and new researches, comes as a pre-cursor of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit-2015 to be held in January, next year.

Spread across an area of 15000 sq. mts., Agri-Tech Asia displays latest innovations and developments in farm technology and dairy farming. Nearly 200 agriculture related companies, from countries like USA, Israel, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Japan, Germany, Canada and Holland have displayed their products in this exhibition.

Also, a seminar on farm income insurance has been organised on 4th September where experts would deliberate on how to provide an effective shield to the farming community against uncertainties of nature and markets. Nearly 500 delegates representing Gujarat and other states of the country will take part in this event. Besides them, representatives from Indian Government, Agricultural secretaries, Managing Directors from State Marketing Boards will make deliberations on farm income insurance.

Smt. Patel urged farmers of Gujarat and other states to avail optimum benefit from this exhibition.
