Gujarat CM Takes Exemplary Decision of Paying Uniform Stipend to Civil Services Aspirants Without Any Discrimination of Caste, Creed or Income

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel today took the important decision to bring uniformity in payment of stipend to all the candidates finally selected after passing All India Civil Services, UPSC and related exams and prelims and main exams and also revised the stipend rates to provide equal benefits of schemes implemented to SC, ST, OBC communities.

As per the decision, the candidate will be paid stipend of Rs. 30,000 at the time of preliminary exam, Rs. 50,000 at the time of passing main exam, Rs. 81,000 to finally selected girls and Rs. 71,000 to boys. Hence, a total of Rs. 1,61,000 will be paid to girls and Rs. 1,51,000 to boys.

Moreover, according to an important amendment, any candidate passing preliminary exams without enrolling at SPIPA, will directly be given admission at SPIPA or District Training Centre for preparing for final examination. If any candidate clears the final exams without taking coaching at SPIPA, he will be allowed to join SPIPA’s main training center for preparation of interview. It is to be noted that beneficiary trainee will be entitled to receive stipend from any one organization only and the stipend will be paid for maximum three opportunities (3 years) considering the UPSC examination limit.

This exemplary decision of paying uniform stipend from SPIPA, Scheduled Tribe Development department and Social Justice and Empowerment department was taken to provide equal opportunity to our youth without any kind of discrimination of caste, creed or income.
