Gujarat CM inaugurates Gujarati and English medium colleges at Vanda in Amreli district

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated the GM Bilakhia College and the Sarvamangal GM English Medium College at Vanda in Savarkundla taluka in Amreli district at a function in presence of Union Minister Parshottam Rupala, Gafur Bapa, sants and mahants.

Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensure not a single child remains uneducated. Education is essential for all round development of the society. He said the government has enacted the fee regulation Act to control what should be the quantum of fees charged by schools to ensure it should not be a financial burden on the guardians. He congratulated Gafur Bapa, trustees of the college and the Swaminarayan Sanstha for not only educating children but also inculcate culture among them.

He listed the steps his government has taken for the welfare of the farmers such as buying tuar dal at minimum support price, supply adequate quantity of electricity for agriculture sector, encourage dairy for farmers to supplement their income, setting up Nandi Ghar in villages, protecting the Gir and Kankrej breeds of cow, implementing the SAUNI project for taking Narmada waters to remote areas in the semi-arid Saurashtra region, also making stricter laws against addiction and cow slaughter.

Several social and religious organizations and prominent citizens felicitated the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister felicitated Gafur Bapa.

Gafur Bapa gave details of the colleges and thanked the people in the sanstha’s endeavour.

Union Minister Pasrshottam Rupala said that Gujaratis established their domination in trade and industries by their sheer grit and determination. He lauded the Gujarat Government’s initiative to control tuition fees, contribution of Swaminarayan Sanstha in education through Gurukul.

Former Gujarat Minister Dilipbhai Sanghani, College Managing Trustee Shastri Harjivandasji also spoke on the occasion.

Those present at the function included Vallabhbhai Vaghasia, MP Naranbhai Kachhadia, MLA Bavkumbhai Unghad, Maganbapa Suhagia, sants and mahants, and district officials.
