Gujarat CM addresses workshop for newly elected representatives of Municipal Corporations

CM Smt. Anandiben Patel addressed a workshop for newly elected representatives of Municipal Corporations and Municipalities. This workshop was organized with an aim to give a briefing to newly elected members on the current projects, their roles and responsibilities and to ensure that benefits of workshop reach to the ground level.

CM shared her learnings and suggestion from her vast years of experience and asked elected members to focus on Ease of doing business and development works for all cities. She mentioned municipal commissioners should ensure that the pending works which were announced through various policies should be completed within next 3 months. She asked corporators, municipal commissioners and collectors to ensure that the work pending under Slum Policy, CM Urban Development schemes and restoration of old properties under public housing gets completed within the set deadline.

She guided official to give priority to Anganwadis and formation of Sakhi Mandals. She requested officials to note that health check-up of all kids of Anganwadi is done. There shouldn’t be a single child suffering from malnourishment, she added.

CM also guided officials to focus on pay and use toilets and ensure 100% completion in building household toilets under Clean India Mission. She also requested officials to form Mahila Suraksha Committee in every ward and giving priority to the health of cleaning workers. She asked officials to prepare an action plan for educating people on the schemes launched by the state and ensure that benefits reach to all people.
