Gujarat CM Appeals to Instill Positive Values in Children During Praveshotsav at Viramgam

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel enrolled the children turning up to Anganwadi and primary school for admission at Bhojwa Primary School in Viramgam on the second day of state-wide Shala Praveshotsav and Kanya Kelavani campaign for urban areas.

On this occasion, CM Smt Patel stated that primary schools provide a platform to strengthen the foundation of the future of our children and urged to ensure that every child goes to school and completes the study. While wishing the newly enrolled children for their brilliant future, she said that it is our duty and culture to wish and bless children joining school and starting an important phase in their life. She further said that children are our future and no society, state or country can progress with negativity and therefore it is our collective responsibility to instill positive values into our children for their character building and bright future of our nation. She said that education is essential for any society and a basis of cultured life. She went on to say that illiteracy is the root cause of all social evils and hinders progress and collective efforts are required to increase literacy rate.

CM Smt. Patel also told people to compare the scenario of Gujarat before and after year 2000. She said that the BJP-led state government has left no stone unturned for the betterment of the state and the positive results are already showing up. She talked about state government’s mission to change the regressive mindset of the people in a bid to end discrimination against girl child through ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ initiative.

While appealing the teachers and parents to discover the hidden talent of a child, she stated that the state government promotes inner talents of children. She called on teachers and parents to give equal importance to extra-curricular activities that will help identify talent of children and sharpen it further. She advised to improve the child’s natural talent by continuous practice to bring perfection.

She recalled the condition of Viramgam in the past and said that today the efforts of cleanliness and beautification are made in the city and the state government is committed to the development works and to provide better facilities.
