Gujarat CM Declares Aravalli as a Judicial District and Lays Foundation Stone of New District Court at Modasa

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandiben Patel today declared Aravalli district as a judicial district and also performed stone laying ceremony of new district court building with all amenities to be constructed at the cost of Rs. 41 crore in the presence of Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court Justice R. Subhash Reddy in Modasa.

On this occasion, CM Smt. Patel expressed her hope that the new district court will meet the need of the people of this district and will help them get speedy justice. She said that for the realization of dispensing speedy and hassle-free justice to every citizen, the State Government is setting up modern court premises in every district and taluka. She shared that the state government has ensured that all government offices in the state, where common people come from different places to get their works done, have basic facilities and modern amenities.

Appealing to the judicial community present, CM Smt. Patel stated that people have very high level of faith in judicial system and we must live up to the high expectations of the people seeking justice. Talking about the social consequences of delayed justice, she appealed to expedite the trials and speedy disposal of cases. She also said that while a large number of cases are pending in various courts, society and judiciary should work together to find out the solution. She explained the benefits of family courts which reduce harassment of women and protect her future. Talking about the impact of value-based education on potential misdeeds, she stated that every citizen should obey rules and respect laws to reduce crime and disputes prevailing in the society. She also stated that implementation of laws should be done in a reasonable manner and with humanitarian approach and also appealed the judicial community to keep themselves free from any kind of political pressure.

On the occasion, Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court Justice S. Subhash Reddy, Justice S. G. Shah, Law Minister Shri Pradeepsinh Jadeja, District Judges of Sabarkantha and Aravalli Districts, MP, MLAs, President of Bar Association, advocates and other dignitaries remained present.
