High speed digital connectivity to 6 thousand villages, GSVAN project launched

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today launched most important high speed digital connectivity (GSVAN) project for connecting 6000 villages, and expressed commitment to extend its services to 18 thousand villages.

Presenting the gift of digital revolution to rural areas on the occassion of completing one month of state ruling, Mr. Rupani said that fulfilling our Prime Minister’s slogan that “Collective Efforts, Inclusive Growth”, I look forward for building trust of people in ruling by providing network facility at door step in rural areas. He also said that we aim for developing villages with Wi-Fi networks, international facilities and after all from village prosperity to national prosperity.

He said, today Gujarat has marched towards digital revolution by providing connectivity facility to 6000 villages after achievement of E-Gram Vishwagram to realize Digital India vision. He said that union government under the leadership of our Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi, made big allocation in budget for poor, villages, farmers, deprived, labors with a view to make villages prosper .

Mr. Rupani mentioning about four pillars Transparency, Determination, Sensitivity and Progressiveness, said that this Government is giving new direction to welfare works. He also said that to fulfill the fast connectivity and mobility demand, we should develop optical fiber network facilities including such GSVAN network.

Mr. Rupani mentioning to provide Wi-Fi network in villages and to use maximum Technology for Public welfare, further said that we want to take Gujarat at new height by making every villages Sachivalya, people should not face any difficulty in dealing with Government and corruption may not rise.

Speech of Mr. Rupani was listened by away far Sarpanch and Villagers through Video Conference. Panchayat Minister Mr. Jayantbhai Kavdiya also hoped that step of digital Gujarat will make available simple service like Janseva Kendra.

Chief Secretary Dr. J.N.Singh said that on the success path of E-Gram Vishwagram, GSVAN network will provide internet facility to 6000 villages with connectivity speed of 2MBPS. He even suggested for solving damages-complaint speedily by keeping constant monitoring and follow-up.

On the occasion, Senior Secretaries of State Government, Chief General Manager of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Sarpanch of villages, Officials, office bearers were remained Present.
