Gujarat CM dedicates and initiates Rs. 49.21-cr developmental works in Gadhada, Botad

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt Anandiben Patel today dedicated and initiated various development works worth Rs 49.21 crore in Gadhada, Botad. This included laying foundation stone for Government Arts and Commerce College, initiating Barwala water-supply project, Ghelo riverfront project and underground drainage project.

Details of various developmental works dedicated and initiated by CM Smt Patel in Gadhada today:

  • Dedicated Goma irrigation scheme-canal distribution system covering 2521 hectare land, worth Rs 726.18 lakh
  • Dedicated 20 ‘Nand Ghar’ aanganwadis, worth Rs 110 lakh
  • Dedicated retaining wall around Ghelo river, worth Rs 45 lakh
  • Dedicated RCC road, paver blocks, divider work, worth Rs 405 lakh
  • Dedicated 33.31 km long Underground Drainage Project, Sewage treatment plant covering over 1100 homes, worth Rs 10 crore
  • Dedicated water-supply project including pump house, ECR tank, PVC pipeline works, worth Rs 400 lakh
  • Dedicated renovated funeral home, worth Rs 37 lakh
  • Laid foundation stone of Government Arts and Commerce College, worth Rs 771 lakh
  • Laid foundation stone of City Civic Centre, worth Rs 15.88 lakh
  • Laid foundation stone of Community Hall under Model Town Yojana, worth Rs 75 lakh
  • Bhumi pujan of Barwala Water-supply Project, worth Rs 1029 lakh
  • Bhumi pujan of Ghelo riverfront project, worth Rs 306 lakh
In her address, CM Smt reaffirmed Gujarat government’s committment towards realizing the vision of Toilets-for-all and Malnutrition-free Gujarat. She shared that 154 municipalities and 6 corporations across Gujarat have achieved the target of 100% toilets. She congratulated Gadhada municipality for having reported successful completion of building toilets for all. CM Smt Patel urged that once the toilets are constructed, the administration should ensure proper use of the toilets and should take strict actions for those involved in open-defecation.

CM Smt Patel appealed to people to join the government and contribute in last-mile delivery of various pro-people developmental schemes initiated by the government. She also asked people to take benefits of children and women health camps organized across the state.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, CM Smt Patel urged people to put in all efforts to conserve the environment around us. She focussed on the need of spreading cleanliness and hygiene across the state and country.

Earlier in the day, CM Smt Patel visited Somnath temple and participated in morning aarti.
