Gujarat CM Smt. Anandiben Patel inaugurates the world’s first-of-its-kind Gujarat University of Transplantation Sciences in Ahmedabad

Gujarat Chief Minister Smt. Anandien Patel inaugurated the world’s first-of-its-kind ‘Gujarat University of Transplantation Sciences’ at Asarva in Ahmedabad today.

On this historic occasion, the CM congratulated the entire team of the new university for their commitment and dedication. She praised Padmashree Dr. H. L. Trivedi for his dedication and selfless service that has given new hope of healthy life to millions of needy patients.

The CM gave a glimpse of the many new specialized universities that the state government has planned or started in recent years including Petroleum University, Forensic Science University, Raksha Shakti University, Children University, Teachers University, Law University, among others. She added that a new feather is being added by the inauguration of this university.

Talking on the preventive health care, Smt. Patel shared that a new Public Health University is also going to be commenced in near future. She said that through awareness, research and counselling, we can significantly reduce the probability of illness.

Smt. Patel congratulated the Health Department for ongoing state wide health check-up drive which includes free diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and cervical and breast cancer in women. She also talked about screening of children during annual school health check-up program and shared that treatment for the deformities in children like orthodontic treatment, surgery for cleft lips and palates, etc. have also been added from this year so that child can live a normal healthy life forever. She also urged the present doctors to suggest any new treatment required to be included to treat the disabilities in children.

The CM expressed her commitment towards the wellness of the citizens and stated that the state government is committed to ensure equal quality of treatment to all the citizens without any kind of discrimination.

Expressing gratitude towards the doctors for their contribution in the efforts of state government, Smt. Patel said that we should jointly work for making our state and the country healthy. A sick and weak society can never develop and compete with the world, she added. She also told the experts to suggest new super specialized courses to be included in the syllabus for advanced learning and research.

To grace this occasion, Swami Sachchidanand ji, Health Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel, Chancellor of this university Padmashree Dr. H. L. Trivedi, Vice Chancellor Shri Veenaben Shah, MP Shri Kiritbhai Solanki, MLA Shri R. M. Patel, other eminent personalities, doctors and invitees remained present.
