GoG to provide shelter and food expense to mother’s along with kid

Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani took one more step for the creation of malnutrition free Gujarat and decided to provide assistance of Rs. seven thousand per day i.e. Rs. 49 thousand for seven days for the treatment of a child born with less weight than 1.5 kg and declared that the cost of meal and shelter of the child’s mother will also be provided by State Government.

Mr. Rupani said that it is the state government’s priority that no child suffers from malnutrition and the State Government is constantly striving for the creation of malnutrition free Gujarat. This important decision will be very effective and will prove to be helpful to the last man of the state.

Assistance of Rs. 49 thousand under the child welfare scheme will be made available to the private experts in the 79 high priority taluka for the treatment of beneficiaries. The beneficiary’s income limit has not been kept for this.

Once the beneficiary has given leave from the registered health institution under Balasakha scheme-3 separate admission will not be done if the beneficiary is required to readmit within 28 day but new admission will be considered after 28 days. Children of less than 1500 gram having sepsis can be admitted under this scheme.
