Chief Minister Narendra Modi wished the new generation emulate the path of service of the poor and goodwill towards all as spread by Bhagwan Sahajanand through his messages and deeds.

CM was speaking at a function to mark the unveiling of a DVD of Hindi serial titled ‘Sarvopari Sarvavtari Shri Swaminarayan Bhagwan’ under the aegis of Muktajivan Swamibapa Suvarna Jayanti Mahotsav Smarak Trust here on the occasion of Labh Pancham.

He said that there is need to imbibe the high traditions, and not just watch the high-tech serial. He also suggested holding competition for who can tie turban fastest.

As it was also the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, CM said that the Sardar ruled the hearts of common man in India even after 60 years of his death for his stellar qualities. Almost everybody seems to ask, “Had there been Sardar Patel” or “Had Sardar been the first Prime Minister of India”, Kashmir or terrorism, water scarcity or farmers’ plight would not have been there. People and particularly every Gujarati compare the Sardar with a united and undivided nation.

CM gave the outline of the world’s tallest statue of Sardar Patel proposed to be built near the Sardar Sarovar Project (SSP) on the Narmada, to showcase the capacity of Gujarat’s youth to the world. He said that Gujarat is on the way to becoming the Auto Hub of Asia with a slew of automobile manufacturing companies lined-up to produce 50-lakh car per annum in Gujarat

The Maninagar branch Acharya Shri Purushottampriyadasji and trustees felicitated the Chief Minister. Ahmedabad Mayor Asit Vora and others were present on the occasion.
